Why is Autodesk sponsoring Infrastructure Week 2017?
It’s no secret that the state of infrastructure in the US has a lot of room for improvement. The American Society of Civil Engineers recently scored America’s Infrastructure as a D+. It’s time to change that.
Infrastructure Week is a national advocacy week to promote investing in US roads, rails, pipes and ports. With each year I-Week has grown in its reach and impact with 260 Affiliates and over 100 events in Washington and around the country being planned for next week. As a sponsor to I-Week, Autodesk will attend the kickoff on Monday, May 15th at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington where they will engage with key civil infrastructure influencers including: U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Thomas Donahue, Laborers’ International Union of North America General President Terry O’Sullivan, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Speaker of the Utah Legislature Gregory Hughes and CEOs from Siemens, HNTB, and AECOM for I-Week’s opening event on May 15th at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington.
