Come meet Autodesk in person at ACEC Annual Convention and Legislative Summit 2017! Explore live VR demos, chat with the Autodesk team, and get a demo of InfraWorks.
Today kicks off the first day of the exhibit hall at ACEC Spring Conference (April 23-26), in Washington D.C. and we’re excited to say the least. At our booth this year, we’ll have a VR demo area where you can experience projects such as the USS Arizona and Apollo 11 Capsule. Not to mention, InfraWorks 360 team will be giving product demos – come visit us at booth #212 to talk all things Virtual Reality and infrastructure design!
What has us really excited this year is the General Lunch Session on Tuesday where Autodesk’s Terry Bennet and Pete Kelsey will be joined by representatives from MIT, the National Park Service, and the Bureau of Reclamation on the topic of “Capture, Model, Virtualize” – the art of the possible for infrastructure from cultural history preservation to critical infrastructure protection.
Never before have so many different types of data been brought together to create an intelligent, high resolution, highly detailed model that can be used for so many different purposes. Immersive Virtual Reality (VR) has the potential to enact a paradigm shift in the way that infrastructure projects of all types are planned, designed and developed while at the same time improving the ability for government to assess infrastructure assets & systems critical to national security and heritage. This session will detail the state of the possible in infrastructure with case studies from the USS Arizona Memorial/Valor in the Pacific National Monument to the Glen Canyon Dam and more.
Finally, we’ll be hosting a sweepstakes and giving away one 3DR Solo drone to a lucky winner. To enter, visit the Autodesk booth, #212, and have your badge scanned. Then post to social media with #iheartcivil. View sweepstakes rules here.
